Technology is advanced, the world is at peace, and their beloved emperor rules above it all. This perfectly written narrative is pierced the moment Akira– hailing from tumbledown Toshinoro– finds his way into Alvian after he loses his family to a gruesome slaughter. The person behind it? Now armed with a grimoire, a not-very-courageous elf, an overly enthusiastic bird as well as a seemingly ill-natured lamb who happens to enjoy herbalism: Akira and his team are forced to learn that Alvian is not all it appears to be.
