DELTARUNE: Darkness Falls is a literate roleplay with a focused narrative, a branching path from DELTARUNE's main story, created by a GAME OVER, amidst an ongoing Weird Route. We break the episodic format, and let the world fly off its intended course, leaving those left in this world to fight against what is to come as result. The Prophecy is shattered, the SOUL is broken, connection is severed. This is where darkness falls, and the world comes to an end in the Roaring. Yet, the voice in the darkness would see this world continue. It is up now, to the heroes, to survive, for the voice in the darkness seeks to call forth another being from beyond this world, another SOUL to inhabit the originally intended vessel. For them to meet these wonderful people, to save this world from this shattered fate. The Knight moves to right the Prophecy it heralded, opening up the sealed fountains by its own will, in an attempt to bring about the world's intended fate. But the crushing, corrupting darkness of the Roaring spreads... It has made Castle Town empty once more, scattering darkners across their original worlds, and perhaps others. But slowly, petrification draws near... the balance between Light and Dark breaks. The skies grow grey, the world is rocked by trembles of what is to come. The winds grow harsh. It is up to the heroes, and new allies alike, to eek out a continued existence for this world, to strike back against this doom brought by the shadow. This world will not meet with its intended conclusion. But, this world need not end.
