Welcome to the world of RWBY: Nightwatcher. The Kingdoms of Vale, Mistral, Atlas and Vacuo. Dust, the Grimm, Huntresses and Huntsman. I'm sure you already know all about it. But things are not all as you've heard. Other than the pride and joy of the Kingdom, the literal shining Beacon of an Academy, there is another. Not everyone can afford to go to the main Academy of the whole Kingdom, after all. Whether you're too poor to afford to go to the heart of the Kingdom, or go to Vale, you've never tried, you don't have the right credentials, you're closer to Option B, or you just don't want to go with all the fancy city folk. The Option B in question? Nightwatch Academy, who in tune with it barely keeping the observation-based name of Vale Academies, is a bit more of a... Rebellious choice. Instead of brilliant members from all over Remnant, we have an... Interesting cast. Neighboring the abandoned old settlement of Alabaster Town, and the corrupt criminal hotspot of Obsidian City, most students- even professors, have more jaded backgrounds than you'd ever see in Beacon. Reformed criminals, poor individuals, people who've never taken a serious class in their life. With the forces of criminal organizations currently repelled or away, the Academy's doors will soon reopen for the new year. Knowing that you don't need any credentials or experience so long as you can prove yourself in Nightwatch's own tests, you chose to sign up. In but a week's time, you'll be a Huntsman or Huntress-In-Training. Motivating you further, you keep hearing local news, TV spots, and Newspapers about a strange, looming figure during the night in surrounding towns and cities. Fast stripes of black, white and red, attacking and killing through exsanguination in manners 'Inconsistent with Grimm attacks'. Something is lurking the night, and it is up to a new generation of Hutsmen, within a new Academy and land, must keep the Nightwatch.
