It called to the wayward and the lost to come settle its lands, and so they did. For a time, all people lived in peace, with no wars between them. They named this place the "Island of the Dawn". Forty years ago, however, this balance was broken. The first human king rose up and began to expand his lands—the first war had come to the Island of the Dawn. Unable to fight back, thousands of non-humans were forced to flee further and further, until they reached the final holdout: Sylph Haven. The Lords of Sylph Haven welcomed those in need, rebuffing all attacks by the First King. Sylph Haven became a bastion of freedom and hope: the Last Sanctuary. Now the city fills with refugees seeking to build a new life in a war-torn world. Witches and vampires vie for power and status, while sylph decide whether to remain hidden from the world or emerge from centuries of secrecy.
