You wake up. You're not quite sure where you are, or who you are. Your body seems frozen in place. You can't move. Your jaw is glued shut; you cant scream for help. As you stand there, awake and aware in your stone body, you can feel it crack and crumble. You stumble forward, released from the stone prison. The shadows move unnaturally, spiraling forwards; reaching towards its newest play thing. It starts with the small things; what you ate the day before, your name, your species, but tou begin to remember. Your memories return to you gradually, who you are, what you did, your motivations, your life, your memories. However, one thing remains clear; you dont know how you got here, and you dont entirely know where "here" is. You cant leave, stuck within the property boundary. Stuck as visitors freely traverse the grounds. But through all of this, one thing is certain. Wherever you are? Its alive, and it wants to control you. <What we knew as our world is gone.> Normalville is a roleplay server that gains inspiration from folk-lore and horror, which also heavily promotes creativity and you interacting, changing, or destroying, the world I have set up for you. Now, if you continue, here is the lore post. Now we, confined to not just a single city but only a few districts in said city, must survive after what The Events brought. After <information redacted>, everything has changed, things have bring brought here, things... that nobody wants to see. <Creatures of nightmares>, things thought to exist only in folklore, and creatures beyond even that now are a regular occurrence in our world. We are unsure if a world outside of Normalville exists, the name itself now giving a sense of irony. In Normalville, you can choose to be one of these creatures beyond logic, or a human trying to exist in possibly the last city out there. Explore the unknown world, and discover things you thought were impossible. Join guided events and have an impact on the world itself! Put your mark on the world. As a person, how have The Events affected you? Have they changed you? The appearance of abnormal powers isn’t impossible. Will you spend your days working with <The Informants>? Or will you have more luck by yourself, instead of putting yourself inside of a large, creature attracting group. If you are one of the creatures that appeared on this world, what will you do with the new realm? Should the puny humans have to follow your reign?
