Farrington, a town with almost 1,300 people, was never a town that tried to grow. It was founded out of convenience, close to calm water and land. Families settled here because it worked, and their names stayed because there was no reason to leave. Last names repeat on mailboxes, fishing licenses, and boats tied to the docks. Most people can trace their family back generations without needing to check. On November 1st at midnight, an elderly woman named Brooklyn Jane Reed walked to the only church and calmly claims that the never-ending dreams are coming. She proclaims that the never-ending dream is going to claim her tonight, and she must die before she hurts anyone. She ends her life in front of over thirty people. Her final words are, "It's better to die than be trapped in a looping nightmare forever. It's got me. I have to do this so I don’t hurt any of you. Don't let it get you.” It's now December 1st. One month. Time has passed, and the local newspaper had made the above information public for all. A few people from out of town have came in to see what exactly had happened, but nobody knows for sure.... Why did Brooklyn kill herself? What is this never-ending dream?
